James Aiken
James D. Aiken, CEO Tekon US
James Aiken is a leader in the green disruptive technology
movement. He has diverse talents and interests and a
collegiate history which balances business, art, and
athletics. James Aiken was once a theater major in college
who played football with honors, too. At Orange Coast
College he distinguished himself as state champion in
track and field, and later attended California State
Fullerton with his major in Business/Marketing and Theater.
During and after his college years, James Aiken was
top sales manager for Rainbow80s and become partners
with his brother in 1989 with Rainbow90s, commercial
shower door installation companies. In 1991, he worked
with Unelco, a polymer coating company. By the mid 1990s,
he and his brother Bret purchased a Diamond Seal of
Utah franchise and began to research and apply various
coating technologies. In 1996, James and Bret began
to work with polymer coatings developed with nano technology.
These coatings worked well on glass, stone and metals.
In 1997 James and Bret Aiken began to apply the high
tech coatings in a variety of public and home environments:
The Tek Home, Pro Tek Buildings and Tek Busses were
models developed for applications in late 1996 and marketed
in 1997 with great success. The Aikens began to develop
a whole product line of chemical free green coatings
for home and commercial use. After many years of researching
and lab and field testing these products in the transportation,
building, and home cleaning industries, the Aikens decided
to name their revolutionary products Tekon as per the
Tek prefix to all applications. Tekon is also based
on terms used in the lab like “Technology on glass”
and “Technology on surfaces” and so it was
the perfect fit. As CEO, James Aiken has helped take
Tekon into the green arena by marketing product lines
that energize water to help clean Tekon sealed surfaces
from surface bacteria, viruses, mold, and other toxins.
Today, Tekon continues to pioneer new green cleaning
solutions for the home and public environments. James
is pushing the envelop for green systems in sealing,
protecting and cleaning for healthier living with “Better
than New” concepts utilizing nano-Technology.
Tekon is continually setting the bar. Visit www.greenquesttek.com

Mark Carvalho, Vice President
(Not Pictured)
Tekon Universal Sciences
714-432-7700
mark@tekon.com
Mark Carvalho's interest in science and chemistry started
at a young age. His involvement with the paint and coating
industry spans over 20 years. Carvalho’s professional
career began in the Marines and in 1982 he became an
automotive artist. Carvalho gained experience in the
coating industry as the owner of a body shop where he
painted and built race-cars. After 16 years he sold
the body shop and continued his work with automotive
and industrial paints. Carvalho's knowledge led to much
success and he became certified to teach new product
applications. He was fascinated by the advanced technology
being developed in the coating industry and his expertise
was sought after by Fortune 500 companies, such as Fountain
Valley Paints in California, the #1 distributor for
Dupont PPG BASF and 3M products. In 2001 Mark Carvalho
joined Bret and James Aiken to assist with refining
their Tekon line of chemical-free, coating products
which seal and protect surfaces from viruses, bacteria,
mold and other toxins, and protect surfaces from stains
and marring. His history in the automotive and industrial
paint industry made him the perfect candidate to join
the Tekon team and help develop the company image. Carvalho
traveled to teach customers how to apply the innovative,
chemical-free Tekon products, he also instructed licensed
buyers on sales techniques specific to the Tekon line.
Carvalho is currently Vice President and a partner of
Tekon. His focus is to educate different industries
on the development and use of Tekon products, which
allow buildings and busses, built with green and recycled
materials, to remain green over the long term. Tekon
products can protect homes, businesses, public transportation
and public locations from dust, micro-organisms, viruses
and bacteria. Carvalho currently partners with hospitals,
cruise ships and hotels, such as the MGM Grand, the
Venetian and the W Hotel. Tekon products were recently
featured on the QVC channel and used to create the first
green bus in America, the Santa Monica Big Blue Bus,
completed in March 2006. This bus is not only earth-friendly;
it is also free of bacteria, mold and viruses that can
make passengers and drivers sick. Carvalho is dedicated
to teaching people the importance of the green industry
and the overall health advantages of products like Tekon
Universal Sciences, Inc. He is a member of the US Green
Building Council (USGBC) and a committee member for
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).

Bret Aiken
Bret Aiken, Director of Sales and Marketing, Tekon US
Bret Aiken has been involved with the research
and application of coating technologies since the 1980s,
and he began his career coating shower doors, windows
and glass. In 1997, Bret and his brother James Aiken
aided in research and development of creating a lifetime
coating system. This chemical free green coating process
restores and protects glass from viruses, germs, bacteria,
mold and other toxins. Bret Aiken sealed busses with
Tekon processes for Long Beach Transit, and Omnitrans
in San Bernardino. The bus fleet of Yosemite National
Park is also coated with Tekon’s revolutionary
process, a green disruptive technology that utilizes
energized water to create hydrophobic and hygienic surfaces
safe for humans and pets. The new Easy Clean Forever
home care kits for stone, glass, stainless steel and
almost all surfaces were selected for QVC’s “Decade
of Discovery” series in 2005. Visit http://www.tekon.com
